Carl and I were talking one day and decided that we were going to do cloth diapers (CDs). The idea came after seeing that Angie had her youngest in CDs. We made this decision for a number of reasons, but the first is money!! We'd rather spend a little to save a lot. So, after doing some research for a while, I realized that I could make these things. Not to mention, it gives me something to do. I chose the Very Baby pattern to start off with. It seemed as though they were a better fit for newborns, from what I read. As of yet, I have a dozen dipes. WHEW! I try to do a little each day. One day might be just cutting, and the next is sewing. It seems to go quicker that way. Here is a little of what I've done so far.

The top left is a pocket fitted, while all the others are fitteds with soakers sewn inside. The monkeys and Christmas are flannel. The top and bottom rights are just regular cotton fabric. I still have more flannel, with different designs, and a couple yards of sweatshirt fleece to use. By the time all of the fabric I have is used up, I should have a nice sized CD stash to cover Olivia's little tooshy.

where did you learn how to make those?!?! they are so freaking cute!
they look great! I have heard great things about the Very Baby pattern. I had a nighttime fitted for Josh that worked great, he just outgrew it.
I am so happy for you guys!
