Take away the pacifier, that is!! I recently decided that the pacifier must go. She has used it for long enough. Besides, since the discovery of those OH SO DELISHY fingers, who needs it? NOT OLIVIA!! I must admit, it was not easy. Even at 3 months they seem to know when something is missing. I started the endeavor Friday. Carl left early that morning for a fishing tournament, with some buddies, in the panhandle. I knew that would be a good time since he wouldn't be around for the crying. THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT!! Crying, crying, and more crying there was!! Honestly, it wasn't until the end of the day, so it wasn't that bad. Friday she went all day without the pacifier until her last nap, and bedtime. Saturday was pretty much the same. Yesterday was much better. She only got it for one nap around 4, and only because she hadn't really had a nap all day, and it was the only way we could get her to take one! No pacifier for bedtime though!! And today... we'll so far so good. I'm hoping that with her not waking up with it will help the day start on a good foot.
Now, for a little bad news. She has been waking up at night! UGH! Well, the bright side is that I did get a good month of Olivia sleeping through the night. For the past (going on) 3 weeks now, she's been waking up at 1:30am and 5:30am like clockwork. It all started with a growth spurt and just hasn't stopped. Whether she goes to bed at 8pm, or 11pm, she's up at 1:30am. I guess I need to be a little more diligent about a set bedtime now. I'm going to work on that now that the "no pacifier" thing is working. I know how much babies crave structure! So structure I will provide!!
I will now leave you with a few overdue POTW's.
2/28: It's just a sweet Nana holding a sweet baby, and a weird daddy holding a weird kitty!

3/7: Yeah, I don't really think this needs words!

3/14: This is how she fell asleep... holding a new present from my mom's aunt! PRECIOUS!!

3/21: How funny is this? We went to a CIRCUS themed birthday party.

3/28: This was Olivia's first trip to the golf course. She'll be a regular there before long!!
